Job Description

As Head of People you will be responsible for helping to find, develop, motivate and retain the team at Media Distillery. You will act as a champion for the company culture and values and will support the company management and (future) team leaders, allowing the company to develop and grow quickly. In this role you will be responsible for all human resources related activities. As Head of the People you will be responsible for helping us build and support this exceptional group of people. The Head of People will partner with all areas of the company to help build and support the organization. This will involve driving recruitment of the best talent, coaching on team leadership, helping to resolving employee relations issues and managing programs that help develop staff. This position is a key strategic role in the company helping to grow the business and allowing us to build a unique and strong people oriented culture at Media Distillery.

What you’ll do

  • Working with the management team you will own all human resources related activities.
  • Provide HR support across the business on the most complex issues, supporting the team and managers in all related areas including: recruitment, performance management, compensation and rewards and people development.
  • Develop and implement processes and methods to secure systematic successful recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Provide useful data to help guide decision making, and allow the company to scale effectively and efficiently

Who you are

  • 2 years of HR experience working in a fast paced environment, preferable in a startup environment
  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience with proof of HR related qualifications and experience in best practice.
  • You are passionate about talent acquisition and you are a people manager that understand that only with the best people you will create outstanding results.
  • You are both strategic and hands-on and understand the need of talent acquisition and retention, so you understand the need to deliver.
  • Show an ability to challenge conventional approaches and a willingness to build a unique approach.
