Junior Product Support Agent

Are you a Media enthusiast? Do you have affinity with Technology? Did it ever cross your mind to earn money while watching TV programs all day? As our Junior Product Support Agent, you will get very close to making that a reality. You will become one of our ‘Gurus’ by providing assistance in developing and optimizing our new products. How? By ensuring the desired functionality and quality. Take for instance our EPG correction where you will be the one to create the models that will determine the actual start and end times of programs. Do you have other ideas that will make our products even better? Speaking up and contributing with your ideas is greatly encouraged in our enthusiastic agile team.

What you’ll do

At Media Distillery we work with TV operators to improve the user experience of viewers worldwide with our EPG Correction service. This requires the creation and maintenance of models based on graphic elements found on any type of TV content. Performance, with respect to quality and scalability, is key. In this role, you will:

  • Analyze the content of TV channels to identify graphic elements and patterns
  • Create models based on the previous graphic elements and patterns to
    determine the correct start and end times of TV programs
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Media Distillery’s EPG Correction
  • Assist in resolving production problems for our clients
  • Cooperate with our Machine Learning experts and Software Engineers to
    improve our products and platforms
  • Have the opportunity to collaborate in the development of new products
  • Assist the Team Coordinator with administrative tasks when needed

Who you are

  • You have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • You identify patterns easily due to your analytic mindset
  • You’re preferably available for 32 hours a week
  • You have great affinity with technology
  • You have a passion for media just like the rest of us
  • You’re fluent in English, written and spoken (other languages are a plus)
  • You’re a quick learner, detail-oriented and like to use your creativity and innovation skills
  • You have a basic understanding of Linux command line
